It is true that if the condom breaks close to orgasm, the sensation of breaking may be confused with orgasm and neither partner may notice. If the condom breaks and semen leaks out, wash the semen away from the vulva or penis with soap and water.
If you’re using a condom and it breaks. it’s like not using a condom at all.
There are several different reasons that condoms break. Most often they break if they are not put on properly, if they have passed their expiration date, or if the wrong kind of lubricant is used with them. (Using any oil-based lubricant with a latex condom can cause breakage). Make sure you put them on properly and get tested immediately if it does break.
